This painting is nostalgia in green... my mother's ceramic vases, the bamboo patterned material from out local 'oriental' restaurant in the 80s, hot pink flowers, carnations, my jade school uniform and memories of the rich emerald backgrounds of 'tropical' portraits at the time.
