I am pleased to announce that after lots of requests and positive feedback Artfolk will now be offering creative experiences for half or full days. These ‘Adventures’ are designed for those wanting a day out or an extended time engaging with art making practices. Locations will be scattered around Brisbane, within an easy drive, to make the most of our gorgeous bush, rural and coastal landscapes.
On Saturday 27th July, Artfolk is getting out of the city and hitting the countryside for a half day of clay play and sunshine. This arty adventure is at the gorgeous Dawson Creek Studio in the Samford Valley, home to ceramicist Karen Hannay. After being introduced to the working studio and exhibition space, find inspiration from the picturesque surrounding landscape and practise your clay handbuilding skills to create a highly decorative platter.
All materials, high firing and a delicious homemade morning tea is included. Follow the orange link for further info and bookings.
For those on the south side, I am now teaching a range of workshops with Workshop Hub at the Royal QLD Yacht Squadron, Manly. The views are amazing, the included drinks and nibbles delicious, and atmosphere coastal and relaxing. A great day out! Be sure to check our current workshop listings for all the creative fun coming up.
